Why We Love Tented Safari Camps

Why We Love Tented Safari Camps

As someone who loves adventure and nature, I have been captivated by the experience offered by mobile safari camps in Africa. Most camps offer a unique blend of freedom and excitement, making them a must-visit destination for nature lovers and thrill-seekers. Here are some of the reasons why we find mobile safari camps to be so special:

1.  Truly Unforgettable Wildlife encounters

Africa is home to some of the most magnificent animals in the world, and mobile safari camps offer the chance to witness these creatures in their natural habitats. From lions and elephants to zebras and giraffes, you’ll be able to observe these incredible creatures up close and personal. The camps are usually in more remote locations, which also means the experiences are going to be more private.

2.  An escape from the modern world and a reconnection with nature

In today’s fast-paced world, it can be difficult to find peace and quiet. Mobile safari camps provide the perfect escape from the noise and distractions of everyday life, allowing you to reconnect with the beauty and tranquillity of the natural world

3.  Personal and intimate experiences

Mobile safari camps are typically small and offer a limited number of tents, creating an intimate and personal experience. This allows you to form close relationships with the staff/guides and other guests, enhancing the sense of community in the wilderness. Get to know the staff; they are wonderful people who work hard to ensure your comfort!

Are mobile tented camps safe?

Mobile safari camps in Africa are safe; we only work with reputable camps that take safety seriously and hire experienced guides.  Of course, as with any form of travel, there are always some risks. We work closely with the camp managers and guides to ensure our guests’ safety. We also evaluate where the camp has been set up and in-camp safety briefings. If precautions are taken, and the surroundings are respected, it is an incredibly safe experience.  Families are welcome; however, we don’t advise families with children under the age of 8 or children with special needs to stay in mobile camps; safari lodges are a better option.
