A Walking Safari

With Spirited Adventures

With Spirited Adventures

South Africa has been in lockdown for 104 days now. This is by far the longest period of time I have ever spent at home, but there is now some excitement on the near horizon. Our wonderful colleagues at Spirited Adventures have invited myself, on behalf of Cross Africa & Co., to join them for a training course at the end of July. This will take place at the Greater Letaba Ranch, which traverses with the Kruger National Park.

I’m not sure if you can sense my excitement, but I am beyond counting the sleeps, to the start of this wonderful opportunity. I will be allowed to travel to Phalaborwa and take part in this highly specialised training. Watch this space for future updates and pictures of this incredible adventure.

Spirited Adventures is one of our preferred partners in South Africa. They offer a truly unique experience, one which does not fit the mold of a luxury safari, but it’s packed with adventure, and some would say it is the only way to truly experience nature as God intended. We sometimes have guests that are looking for just this type of adventure.

3 nights and 4 days of walking in the Greater Kruger Region of South Africa. You carry everything you need in a backpack, including food, water, and your own tent. We leave nothing but footprints. Literally. Accompanied by 2 highly skilled trails guides, you will learn about tracking the big 5 on foot, and sleep under the stars at night. No fences, just a fire and the wild outdoors. Groups can only take 6-8 people, so this truly is a unique experience. Typically, you can add on a luxury stay in the Sabi Sands after this, and then fly to the Cape to experiece the beautful winelands and see the iconic Table Mountain.

This type of itinerary offers all the best angles and experiences of South Africa. Let us know if you would be interested in doing a similar walking safari in South Africa.
